Answer

What kind of stock do you use for your labels?

All of our label stocks are purchased from manufacturers of quality pressure sensitive materials. At Partners, we offer a complete line of paper, foil, film, tag and synthetic materials.

What is the maximum size label you can print?

Our presses are capable of printing and die cutting labels up [to] 15" x 24".

Do you manufacture labels which are suitable for exterior use?

Yes. Partners supplies a complete line of synthetic face materials, adhesives, inks and top-coatings for out-door label applications.

What kind of inks do you use?

Partners offers a wide range of ink options from water based, solvent based, uv flexo and uv letterpress, plus overprint top-coat and uv top-coat varnishes.

What is the maximum number of colours that can be printed on a label?

Well that's a tricky one. The answer is 8 but CMYK combinations number in the thousands.

What does CMYK stand for?

CMYK is the basis for the four process colours, Cyan, Magenta, Yellow and blacK.

What are the smallest and largest quantities you can run?

This is another tricky question. Since the cost of production is volume related, minimums and maximums are frequently decided by you, the customer. The smaller the run quantity, the greater the individual label unit cost becomes. In short, we can run one hundred labels or five million labels.

What's the average turn-around time?

Normally, we request two weeks. However, we appreciate that sometimes this schedule may not align with our customers' needs. In these situations, we guarantee to do everything possible to satisfy your time-lines without sacrificing quality or impacting the overall cost.

Okay, I'm ready to send you my artwork. What format do you require?

MAC format is preferred, however, PC can be received. And yes, we still can work with art-boards and film.

Will I receive a proof, prior to printing my labels?

Yes. All production runs require a signed proof by the customer. Proofs may be in the form of black and white or colour out-puts, colour keys or cromilins.
